German Ships 1643-1700

The next list of Bradenburger, Kurland(Latvia), and Hanse towns(Bremen, Hamburg) ships are not complete.
Lenght was usually taken from stem to sternpost.
There was probably used Amsterdam feet(283mm) in shipyards.
Bremen feet was 289mm, and Hamburger feet was 287mm.
The town Emden also known to be some armed ships in convoy duty(mentioned 1665,1673), but no details of them are known.
Lubeck also armed some ships in 1675, and manned them in soldiers, and the same probably took place occasionally in little Duchy of Oldenborg, but no details or names these vessels known.

The list includes only such ships as carried guns, and are known by name.
There were many others, and there are records of about 150 ships during the period 1638-1698, mostly built at Windau or Libau.
Among the ships whose names are unknown there said to have been one of 100-guns and two of 80-84 captured by the Swedens
at Windau in 1659, besides one 100-guns and one of 60 burnt on the stocks.
