Great Classic Sailing Ships

Soleil Royal was laid down in 12/1668, launched december .13 1669,
and was ready for sea 8/1670.
The ship was refit in 1688-1690. Soleil Royal carried 104/110/120 guns in his carrieer:
28-48/36, 30-18, 28-12, 20-6, 14-4 pdr. = 120 (in first),later 4 pounders reduced to four,
so there were then 110 guns.Last armament was :
28-36, 30-18, 30-12, 12-6, 4-4 pdr.= 104 (5/1692).
Soleil Royal dimensions was:
164-6(stem to sternpost) x 142(keel) x 44-6(beam) x 21 (depth) x 23-6 (draught) ,
Crew was 9 officer+ 900 men, the ship was 2400/2500tx (french tonnage).
Soleil Royal burnt at Cherbourg in 1692.
